Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Recovery Officer to join our team in Sri Lanka within the dynamic Oil and Gas sector. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing and overseeing the retrieval of valuable resources, equipment, and materials from oil and gas exploration and production sites. As a Recovery Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining operational efficiency and environmental compliance within our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Resource Recovery: Manage the retrieval of equipment and materials from oil and gas sites, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations.

Efficiency Optimization: Implement strategies to improve recovery processes and maximize resource extraction while minimizing waste.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of recovered materials and equipment, creating detailed reports for internal and regulatory purposes.

Environmental Compliance: Ensure all recovery activities adhere to environmental standards and regulations, minimizing the ecological impact of operations.

Equipment Inspection: Oversee the condition and functionality of recovery equipment, coordinating maintenance and repairs as needed.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including drilling and exploration teams, to optimize resource recovery operations.

Safety: Promote and enforce safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and incidents during recovery operations.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field (such as petroleum engineering, environmental science, or a related discipline).

Proven experience in oil and gas field operations, particularly in resource recovery.

Familiarity with safety regulations and environmental standards in the oil and gas industry.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, well-informed decisions.

Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Exceptional organizational and documentation abilities.

Adaptability to work in diverse and challenging environments.

Knowledge of local and international regulations related to oil and gas resource recovery.
