Job Description:

As a Fund Accountant at our esteemed financial institution, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, transparency, and compliance of our fund accounting operations. You will be an integral part of our finance team, contributing to the management and administration of various funds and investment portfolios. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in the dynamic world of finance, with a particular focus on investment funds and asset management.

Responsibilities:

Fund Accounting: Perform daily, weekly, and monthly accounting activities related to investment funds, including the reconciliation of transactions and valuation of assets.

NAV Calculation: Calculate Net Asset Values (NAV) accurately for various investment funds and verify the pricing of financial instruments.

Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, reports, and analysis for the funds under management, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accounting standards.

Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory and compliance requirements, staying up to date with changes in financial regulations and reporting standards.

Reconciliation: Conduct periodic reconciliations of fund holdings, cash flows, and corporate actions, resolving any discrepancies promptly.

Client Services: Respond to client queries and provide necessary support for fund-related matters, maintaining strong client relationships.

Audit Support: Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate the auditing process and ensure audit findings are addressed effectively.

Process Improvement: Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and the accuracy of fund accounting activities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Professional qualifications such as ACCA or CIMA would be an advantage.

Knowledge of fund accounting principles, NAV calculation, and financial reporting standards.

Familiarity with financial instruments and investment products.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Proficiency in financial software and tools.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work well within a team and meet tight deadlines.
