Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Factory Manager to lead our manufacturing operations in Maharagama, Sri Lanka. As the Factory Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving our production processes, ensuring product quality, and managing a team of skilled professionals to meet our production targets and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership: Provide effective leadership and direction to the production team to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing processes.

Production Planning: Develop and implement production schedules, monitor production targets, and allocate resources effectively to meet production goals.

Quality Assurance: Maintain and improve product quality standards by implementing and monitoring quality control measures.

Cost Control: Optimize production costs while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control, ensuring an efficient and well-organized supply chain.

Health and Safety: Implement and enforce safety protocols and best practices to create a safe working environment for all employees.

Staff Management: Recruit, train, and manage a team of production staff, providing regular feedback, coaching, and support for their professional development.

Process Improvement: Continuously seek ways to enhance manufacturing processes, increase efficiency, and reduce waste.

Compliance: Ensure that the factory adheres to all local and national regulations and standards, including environmental regulations.

Reporting: Prepare regular reports for senior management, summarizing production metrics, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as industrial engineering or manufacturing management.

Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role, ideally as a Factory Manager.

Strong knowledge of production processes and quality control methods.

Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Understanding of safety and environmental regulations.

Proficiency in using manufacturing software and tools.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
