Job Title: Operations Manager (Oil and Gas Field)

We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to join our team in the thriving oil and gas industry in Sri Lanka. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all operational activities related to oil and gas production, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations while promoting a culture of safety, efficiency, and excellence. Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize oil and gas production operations, ensuring alignment with company objectives and industry best practices.

Oversee the daily operations of oil and gas facilities, including drilling, production, and distribution, to ensure maximum efficiency and profitability.

Monitor and manage production schedules, resource allocation, and equipment maintenance to ensure uninterrupted and cost-effective operations.

Establish and enforce stringent safety protocols and regulations to minimize risks and ensure compliance with local and international safety standards.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations, resolve technical issues, and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.

Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess the performance of operational processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary.

Foster a culture of teamwork, professional development, and continuous improvement among the operations team, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure high levels of employee engagement and performance.

Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including government authorities, partners, and suppliers, to ensure smooth coordination and adherence to contractual obligations.

Prepare comprehensive operational reports, including production metrics, safety performance, and financial analysis, to provide accurate insights for management decision-making.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Petroleum Technology, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.

Proven experience of at least 8-10 years in operations management within the oil and gas industry, with a strong understanding of drilling, production, and distribution processes.

In-depth knowledge of industry regulations, environmental standards, and safety practices.

Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team of professionals.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on optimizing operational efficiency and driving continuous improvement.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Proven track record of successful project management, cost control, and achieving operational targets within budgetary constraints.
